Supertech opens Haridwar’s first mall

Real estate firm Supertech has opened Pentagon mall in Haridwar at SIDCUL marking the entry of the first mall in the city. Spread in the total built up area of 4,50,000 sq.ft. across four levels (lower ground floor + upper ground floor + 2 more floors) and a GLA of 3,00,00 sq.ft., the mall is said to cater to the needs of Shivalik Nagar, BHEL, Jwalapur and New Haridwar as the primary catchment; and Roorkee and old Haridwar as the secondary. The mall houses 168 stores.

Talking about the potential of the city, R K Arora, Chairman and MD, Supertech, said: “Pentagon mall is situated in the prime vicinity of SIDCUL, New Haridwar, which is a rapidly developing hub of industries and corporate sector. Besides the mall will look at the demand of the corporate travellers. Supertech has also opened two hotels in the mall and has tied-up with Radisson Blu (a five-star category hotel) and Hyphen (budget hotel), which is company’s own brand.”

Supertech will look after the maintenance and operations of the mall while Geetanjali Support Services is responsible for the parking management. Defence Security is looking after the security. The mall has been designed by Modarch India. V S Kukreja has provided the lightings while Ayam-Architecture & Landscape Consultants has done the landscaping of the mall.

Pentagon mall has 3 lifts and 11 elevators provided by Thyssenkrupp. It has three entry and exit points. Both open and covered parking facility is available for 650 and 1,000 four-wheelers and two-wheelers, respectively. The food court spreads across 15,000 sq.ft. A four-screen multiplex by Wave Cinemas covering an area of 40,000 sq.ft. is also present in the mall. It has tied-up with Horror House for entertainment.

The anchor stores of the mall include Spencer’s, Rituwears Big Life, Bikanervala, Reliance Trends, and McDonald’s. Reliance Footprints, VIP, Bata, Levi, Samsonite, Woodland, John Player, Spykar, Mufti, US Polo, Adidas, Provogue, and Denizen are some other brands present in the mall.

According to the mall officials, the development is already witnessing a footfall of approx 7,000 and 10,000 visitors on weekdays and weekends, respectively.
