Germany’s home entertainment brand Loewe has entered India through a sales partnership with Delhi-based Navshiv Retail. Navshiv Retail claims to hold the exclusive distributorship rights for all Loewe products in India for the next 10 years. Technology brands such as Bang & Olufsen, Mobiado, People of Lava, and Audio Pro Sound of Scandinavia will now be available in the country.

Talking about the company’s entry in India, Andreas Lippert, Head of Sales, Loewe, said: “India is one of the fastest-growing markets for premium technology products. We are looking forward to bring the best of German technology which will offer the best connected entertainment experience to Indian consumers. We are confident that Navshiv Retail India, together with our attractive and individualised home cinema solutions ‘Made in Germany’, will achieve a sustainable position in this significant market.”

Commenting on the partnership, Naveen Rao, CEO, Navshiv Retail, said that over the past five years Navshiv has built a strong market position and infrastructure in India. This combined with Loewe’s exceptional product range and the comprehensive service and support afforded by Loewe AG paves the way for both a strong and long-term collaboration in the Indian market. “We aim to create a niche in the luxury space and are looking at sales of around Rs 100 crore in the next year,” he further added.

The Delhi-based company plans to create seven Loewe Galleries (company-owned and franchised) across Delhi, Mumbai, Bangalore, Chennai, Hyderabad, Ludhiana, and Chandigarh by the end of this year.

Loewe provides televisions, speakers, audio components, multi-room solutions, and Blu-ray players. In 2011, sales for the company founded in 1923 in Berlin totalled €2,743 mn. On an international level, the brand is present in 50 countries.

Navshiv Retail deals in technology brands. It is a part of Sentro Group that was founded in 1997 with business in India, Russia, Uzbekistan, Kyrgyzstan, and Belarus.
