Women’s ethnic-wear brand Bunkaari India has opened its first store in the country at Hindustan Park, Kolkata. Spread over 900 sq.ft., the outlet stocks handwoven apparel and home furnishing items priced between Rs 300 and Rs 20, 000.
The initial investment in the store is Rs 44,00,000 and an average sale of Rs 6 lakh per month is expected from it.
Speaking on the occasion, Sanjoy Som, Partner, Bunkaari India, said: “We are planning to open 12 stores in the FY 12-13 and we will put in an investment of Rs 3 crore in setting up these stores. Right now we are concentrating in the markets of Raipur, Bhubaneswar, Rourkella, Bilaspur, Durgapur, Siliguri, Delhi, and Hyderabad for expansion.
Bunkaari India will open its second store in Raipur on October 2 and its third store in Kolkata by November end.
