American luggage brand Hartmann will be launched in India by March by Samsonite South Asia. Its first store is likely to come up at Mumbai airport. After Mumbai, Hartmann will target Delhi and Chennai for its stores.
Founded in 1877 in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, the brand is a leading player in the travel goods segment. Hartmann offers carrying bags, business cases, totes and backpacks, gifts and accessories.
The brand offers around 150 products out of which 50 percent is travel luggage while 50 percent comprises briefcases, business and ladies handbags. Its products are priced between Rs 45,000 onwards.
