Cadbury India, a part of Mondelez International, has launched Oreo Orange Creme, adding one more flavour to its existing three variants of Vanilla, Choco Creme and Strawberry. The new flavour is a combination of chocolatey cookies with a fruity orange crème center. Since the launch of the brand in India in 2011, this is the fourth launchby the biscuit brand.
Speaking on the occasion, Anuradha Aggarwal, Director- Biscuit Category, Cadbury India, said: ”Orange is the most preferred fruit flavour in the creme biscuit category in India. We think the time is right to give a new chocolatey twist to an old favourite – and introduce Oreo Orange Crème in India. Oreo being a leading international biscuit brand, we have kept the global essence of Oreo while customizing the Orange flavour to suit local preferences.”
She further stated, “There is tremendous opportunity in the Indian biscuit market, especially in the fruit cream segment. Oreo Strawberry Creme has received a great response with consumers in India. Orange being India’s favorite fruit creme flavor, we are confident that consumers will love Oreo Orange Creme and this launch will drive further growth for the brand in India.”
Oreo Orange Creme will be available for Rs 15 for a 6 unit pack and Rs 30 for a 12 unit slug pack in all retail outlets across the country.
