Primarc Group Opens Story in Kolkata

STORY, spread across a sprawling 15,000 sq. ft., is a standalone bookstore launched by the Primarc Group at the most sought after location in Kolkata at Elgin Road.

With STORY, Primarc Group has ventured into bookstore retail. This maiden outlet will have a massive collection of books of all genres and a floor for children only. STORY will provide more than 50000 titles. STORY has various sections like Café, Greetings, Art Street, Child’s Play, Bags, Pen,  Stationery, Music, etc.

At STORY one will have the availability of the best basket of collectible pens and writing accessories at the PEN & INK section; art material and accessories at the ART STREET section; bountiful of special gift items at the GIFT IT section; a wide range of greeting cards at the GREETINGS section and a PAPER SHOP & STATIONERY section with a comprehensive range of house paper and stationery materials.

Speaking on the occasion, Sidharth Pansari, the director Primarc Group said, “STORY will be the kind of social & meeting place that Kolkata doesn’t have much of. I can assure you that STORY will become the pilgrimage of the bookworms across age groups. Our objective is to become the country’s best standalone bookstore. We will bring new value with facilities and services that will make STORY a grand destination not only for the Kolkatans but even tourists”.

STORY will also have a dedicated GIFT WRAPPING section that will pack gifts innovatively. Even if a customer buys gift elsewhere, the gift can be packed at STORY. The BAGS & PACKS section will carry computer, tab cases, totes, backpacks and so on. Children’s games, books, toys will be at the CHILD’S PLAY section, with a dedicated department only for toddlers called LITTLE ANGELS.

“Besides these, we plan to have a special MADE BY STORY section which will have our in-house brand of stationery and little eclectic-nothings. And soon, a YOURS ONLY section will make customised stationery.

The unique storytellers café will soon boast of unique recipes & concepts. The leading retail chain M3 will operate the BLOCKBUSTERS section to quench the thirst of the music & movie buffs”.

“STORY will be a place where people will meet to tell, talk, read, stories and buy stories!”, concluded Pansari.

The Primarc started its journey in 1973 by investing in Lifestyle Retail, Apparel and Textiles. Under the leadership of Chairman, Nand Kishore Pansari, the group achieved a dominant position in the retail & realty sector in Eastern India. Primarc owns and operates 35 Raymond stores across East India and bookstore chain of Crossword in Bengal.
