Commenting on the Union Budget 2014-15 announced by the Finance Minister, R S Agarwal, Jt. Chairman, Emami Group of Industries said that the maiden budget presented by the BJP led NDA Government is overall a very good budget. The budget is aimed towards expansion of the country’s economy and develop a future roadmap for growth, he stated.
“The budget has managed to address many concerns that have been raised frequently in the past by both industry and common people. It has given fillip to sectors like manufacturing, infrastructure, healthcare, and so on. Women empowerment is another aspect that the government has vowed to take care. It is heartening to note that the government has plans to reign in fiscal deficit from existing 4.1 percent to 3 percent in the next three years. It is developmental in nature and sets the tone for strengthening the country’s economic foundation. In other words, it seems that this is the beginning of ‘achhe din’.
He further added that the new government deserves applause for presenting an inclusive and progressive budget within one month of its tenure.
