Bollywood designer, Harsh Gupta of designer label Harsh Harsh showcased his collection on the day one of Lakme Fashion Week Autumn Winter 2014. The designer was invited to design outfits for Laila Mallya’s jewellery show Social Butterfly.
The designer synchronized his inspiration with Mallya’s inspiration of peacock feather to create harmony between two collections. Gupta played with feathers by cutting, plucking, snipping the them and threw light over to find some interesting angular shapes for the designs that were formed by the shadow. While designing, he came across some stimulating shapes and lines that were just close to his vision, which he integrated into cuts / patterns to create the black and white collection. His collection, F rozen which represented the captured shadow of shapes / line work that were formed by the play of light and feather.
Gupta further described his collection “I was working on the Pre-fall 2014 winter collection while I got this opportunity and I immediately modified my running pre-fall collection for the debut show at LFW AW’14 keeping laila’s jewellery centre of process.
