Online marketplace Snapdeal.com has launched Craft Collective – an endeavor by the brand for craftsman across the country to help them sustain their livelihood by providing a platform to popularise and retail their craft.
The initiative has been launched in association with Ode to Earth- a social enterprise that provides sustainable livelihoods to small and primary producer groups based in small villages with focus on incubating innovations.
Through this association, Snapdeal.com has tied up with 10,000 artisans from Jaipur who all form part of the Craft Collective initiative. Consumers can choose from a range of attractive accessories made of Lac in this range. The brands under Craft Collective are named after the individual artisans, most of whom have been in the business of creating jewellery for a significant time period and are experts in their field. Snapdeal.com launches this initiative to empower artisans across the country and expand the range of products for the brand’s 25 million user base.
