Liberty shoes, known as one of the leading leather shoe manufacturers in India, is planing to reach an annual turnover of Rs 1,000 crore by 2017, which was Rs 500 crore in the last financial year.
The company also plans to add 100 new stores this fiscal to strengthen its presence. As per Adesh Gupta, group Chief Executive, the brand has opened stores in Sri Lanka and Bangkok along with increasing the local footprint. At present, Liberty has almost 500 outlets in India and it is present in more than 25 countries globally.
Liberty is second in the Indian footwear industry after Bata. The footwear company was established in 1954 in Karnal as a small shop manufacturing four pairs of shoes in a day. Over 50 years it has grown as a brand who have been fashioning footwear for style-conscious consumer.
