Woolmark, Raymond present cutting-edge 'Cool Wool' fashion collection

To continue its promotion of Merino wool fashion in India, Woolmark in association with Raymond Ltd presented the latter’s Spring Summer 2015 collection at the High Commission of Australia in New Delhi on Monday.
To promote wool as an all-weather fabric in India, the brand showcased a summer-friendly assortment of formal and occasion menswear premium fabrics, through four distinct lines created by Rajash Pratap Singh, Suket Dhir, Timothy Everest and the Park Avenue design team, titled Cool Wool.
The collection included innovative lines of Linen Wool Silk blends and Wool Silk fabrics, including Wool Silk, Super 180s, Super 150s, Super 130s and Super 120s, due to be available for purchase at select Raymond outlets across the country.
Speaking at the event, Sanjay Behl, CEO Lifestyle Business, Raymond Limited, said in a press statement, “Raymond is amongst the largest manufacturers and ‘best-in-class’ designers of woollen fabrics in the world. Product innovation has been at the forefront of Raymond and we are delighted to launch our new range of premium woollen fabrics in India. The launch of this exclusive collection reinforces our commitment to offer the very best product to our esteemed customers.”
Stuart Mc Cullough, managing director, The Woolmark Company, said, “We believe that soft tailoring and deconstructing tailored apparel works particularly well with Cool Wool certified fabrics allowing the wearer to function comfortably in harsh, hot climates. Partnerships with prestigious brands like Raymond, demonstrate perfectly the nexus between Cool Wool products and great suit manufacturing.”
Also speaking on the occasion, Australian High Commissioner, Patrick Suckling, stated, “The launch of the latest Cool Wool collection was a wonderful opportunity to showcase the best of Indian fashion using the finest quality Australia merino wool. Australia supplies around 50 per cent of the wool used in India’s fashion and textile sector – we are proud of this collaboration between Australian woolgrowers, an iconic part of our farming sector, and contemporary fashion, one of most dynamic and exciting sectors in both India and Australia.”
