Naturals reveals ambitious global dominance target by 2025

Must Read

With 475 outlets in 19 Indian states, the leading salon chain of India, Naturals Salon and Spa, is now eyeing a much bigger target: being the number one salon brand in the world.
Speaking to Indiaretailing, CK Kumaravel, CEO Naturals Salon and Spa said, “We are looking to open 10,000 salons worldwide by 2025. The work is in progress in Dubai and Gulf countries. We are poised to enter the American market as well.
In India, our focus is on creating successful sub brands of Naturals Unisex, the Naturals W as an exclusive women’s salon and the Naturals Lounge for the premium segment.”
In 2010, Natural Salons and Spa moved into full-time franchising and found a foothold through the model. Commenting on the growth of Naturals Salon and Spa in the last fifteen years since its inception in the year 2000, Kumaravel said,
“Our first seven years were extremely slow and we opened only seven salons during that time. This was the time when we tried to understand the market.”
“However, the partnering model came up as a good option, where we co-invested with the franchisee. This worked in our favour and helped us reach the 50-outlets mark. Subsequently, in the year 2010, we moved into full time franchising, of course, tweaked to suit Indian needs. We discovered a traction which was unbelievable and beyond our wildest expectations,” he added.
Kumaravel also informs that this year the brand’s retail network target is to climb to 600 outlets from 475. In addition to this, the chain is also aiming 50 stores in the international markets. “Overseas, we plan to move in wherever there is a sizeable Indian population. Within the country, we now want to reach tier III and IV markets.”
