Kraft Heinz India launches ‘Mobile Medical Units’ in Kalajore

Food and beverage major Kraft Heinz Company’s Indian affiliate Kraft Heinz India has entered into a partnership with Stop Hunger Now, a non-profit organisation, and Society for Action in Community to launch a Mobile Medical Unit (MMU) service in Kalajore village in Bihar, the company said in a statement.
The service has been launched by the food and beverage major aiming to make affordable and reliable healthcare accessible to people in remote areas of the country. The launch was presided over by Minister of State Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises, Giriraj Singh.
The MMU is equipped with a mini lab, ECG and drugs and will provide healthcare services at people’s doorsteps. It aims to reach out to 25000 people by 2016.
