Marking its third acquisition this year, Bangalore-based home design and decor service provider, Livspace has acquired YoFloor, a mobile platform that offers a virtual trial room for home design decisions for an undisclosed amount.
As per the deal, YoFloor’s Co-Founders (Ankur Mishra and Archit Rathi) and its core team will join Livspace to provide 3D visualization tools for in-house designers and architects.
Founded in March 2015, YoFloor app helps homeowners envision how different home designs, furniture pieces, and furnishings would look like in one’s home.
“With our previous acquisitions we have built a thriving design community of both designers and homeowners. YoFloor shares with us the vision to let homeowners effortlessly see through 3D visualisation technologies, a prospective design for their homes, before they even make the purchase. This is central to the kind of personalisation and choice we want to give to home design enthusiasts in India,” Anuj, CEO and Co-founder of Livspace said in a statement
Livspace acquired design community marketplaces DezignUp in March and Mumbai-based Dwll.in, a curated online network of interior designers in May.
With the help of YoFloor’s technology, Livspace will be releasing a WYSIWYG (What You See IS What You Get) productivity tool that will allow designers to a real time design experience to the home-owners. The tool will allow to visualise the design of the home before finalising the deal.
Founded in 2012, Livspace is an online shopping destination where anyone can design, decorate and furnish their dream home. Also, it offers the facility to hire a designer on its platform, or the users can customize the products based on their requirements. It delivers in Chennai, Hyderabad, Delhi, Mumbai & Bangalore.
Livspace currently has a community of over 575,000 home design enthusiasts. Other players in the online furniture space include Urban Ladder, FabFurnish, HomeLane, CustomFurnish, Pepperfry etc.
