DMart’s Avenue Ecommerce Limited has appointed Vikram Dasu as Chief Executive Officer. Avenue Ecommerce Limited is a new enterprise that serves as an online extension of Avenue Supermarts Limited’s flagship supermarket brand, DMart.
Dasu brings with him a rich experience of 19 + years. A Masters in Communication from Penn State University (1999) and MBA from Ohio State University – Max M. Fisher College of Business (2004).
Dasu started his career at Television International – A Business India division in 1996. He moved from there in 1997 to WPSX – Public Broadcasting Service as Product Manager/Producer and in 2000 he moved to MCI as Global Product Development Manager .
In 2004, after his MBA, he moved to America Online – AOL Time Warner as Product Manager and then in 2005 he moved to MSN Mobile as Asia Pacific Product Planning Manager.
In September 2010 he was headhunted by homeshop18.com and took over as General Manager, Category Management for e-commerce. He rose to the position of Vice President before moving to Mumbai to join Avenue Ecommerce.
