Baba Ramdev’s Patanjali Ayurved in planning to set up four more manufacturing units across India within the next couple of years.
Apart from this, to mark its foray into packaged milk, it is also setting up a dairy facility for cow milk in Ahmednagar, Maharashtra. The company is also in talks to set up units in Madhya Pradesh and Punjab and also planning to set up a manufacturing unit in Andhra Pradesh.
For its expansion projects in the next financial year, it has embarked Rs 1,000 crore. The company will be utlising the funds for setting up new units and these funds will be a mix of internal accruals and bank loans from SBI and Punjab National Bank.
Patanjali Ayurved has already ordered machineries and is in the process of buying land in these states. During the ‘Make In India’ week in February, the company signed an agreement with Maharashtra to set up a unit in the state.
Currently, the only manufacturing unit that the company has in Uttarakhand. This unit was started 10 years ago and it has expanded into a 150-acre facility and employs about 10,000 employees.
