The agribusiness division of Mahindra & Mahindra has established its footprint in dairy products market with its branded milk Saboro. The name has been derived from Sabor, a greek word, meaning taste.
Launched in Indore, Saboro pouch milk will offer four variants: Double Toned Milk, Full Cream Milk, Protein Rich Milk and Cream Rich Milk. It will later expand in Madhya Pradesh by next with some more new dairy products.
“Our Agri business cherishes the long-term aspiration of delivering ‘FarmTech Prosperity’. Today, with Saboro, we are taking another important step in our journey to become a complete value chain player. Our stringent systems and processes have resulted in products that stands out in the market in terms of its quality especially with our Mahindra Quality Standards (MQS),”Executive Director, Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd, Dr. Pawan Goenka was quoted by The Economic Times as saying.
Since the domestic milk market in the country is quite unorganised, it is expected that Mahindra and Mahindra will give it a better shape.
To ensure quality and freshness, they have introduced an advanced milk collection supply chain covering around 70 villages in Indore. It will directly interact with the dairy farmers.
