TVS Tyres, the tyre manufacturer, has been signed up as the principal sponsor of the Indian Premier League team Gujarat Lions, which is owned by mobile handset maker Intex.
As a part of this engagement with Gujarat Lions led by Suresh Raina, all the players’ jerseys will carry the brand TVS Tyres along with similar branding on their training kits. Additionally, one spectator stand at Rajkot/Kanpur will be branded as TVS Tyres Stand.
Last week, Gujarat Lions had signed up digital payment solutions company Oxigen Services as its title sponsor of the team for the upcoming season of IPL for around Rs 10 crore a year.
The IPL association adds to TVS’ association with sporting events like Pro Kabaddi League and Hockey India League.
Gujarat Lions will play a total of 14 matches; out of which 7 matches will be played at two of their home venues, Rajkot and Kanpur.
