Must Read

Japanese air conditioner company Daikin is expecting around 18-20 per cent hike in their AC sales this year. Taking advantage of the early summers, the company is also planning to expand into the small towns.

“If summer continues like this, then we are expecting a volume growth between 18-20 per cent this year,” Managing Director, Daikin India, K J Jawa was quoted by PTI as saying.

He further continued “We would grow higher than the industry average as we have an edge in terms of product innovation and technology. Efforts in expansion of distribution network” would also help the company surpass expected industry growth this year.”

Daikin sold around 5 lakh ACs last year and at present their units are available in more than 3,000 counters.

The company is going to invest Rs 400 crore on Neemara (Rajasthan) facility and Rs 100 crore on the R & D centre there, which will be functional from July this year.

Daikin exports their units in Sri Lanka and is soon going to add Bangladesh in its list.
