Union Minister, Giriraj Singh is planning to develop Nellore district into an industrial hub. He is holding talks with the small and medium industries representatives to establish a gems and jewellery cluster in Nellore.
With an intention to benefit the goldsmiths, Singh has urged the state to allot land to construct the incubation centres, so that they start functioning at the earliest.
“With a view to train the budding entrepreneurs, we are looking to set up incubation centres in all the 13 districts of Andhra Pradesh, Besides, new tool design centres is also under the Centre’s consideration” Union Minister, Giriraj Singh was quoted by TNN as saying.
In a similar wavelength, Urban Development Minister M Venkaiah Naidu, said that NDA government is also planning to set us an industrial port city at Krishnapatnam.
“The situation in the district is quite conducive for industrial growth. A port at Krishnapatnam would spur industrial growth in the neighbouring areas too,” Naidu was quoted by TNN as saying.
To this quote Naidu continued, “We are hopeful that the Goods and Services Tax Bill would be passed in the next session. The NDA government is making every effort to achieve political consensus for passage of the bill and another round of discussions on this issue is due to be held shortly.”
