To make home delivery faster, India’s most popular classified portal Quikr has set up a fleet of delivery trucks on Wednesday.
These vehicles will be a part of its newly launched logistics services and an instrument for revenue generation. This delivery service will be available in 25 cities.
“The logistics service will be available in 25 cities. The Bengaluru based company also plans to set up warehousing capabilities wherever needed. However, most of Quikr’s transactions are within the city so storage and warehousing do not come much in play,” CEO & co-founder, Quikr, Pranay Chulet was quoted by The Economic Times as saying.
So far, the Tiger Global-backed company has used the e-commerce logistics services of Delhivery to fulfill its logistics. With this move, the company will establish its own logistics network and will move in pace with other leaders like Flipkart, Amazon and Snapdeal.
“People come to Quikr to buy and sell, our logistics capabilities help us get in the middle of these transactions,” Pranay Chulet was quoted by The Economic Times as saying.
