Freecharge, India’s fastest growing digital payments platform, has partnered with restaurant search and discovery platform Zomato to offer swift and secure digital payment option to customers
Customers across 10 cities will be able to pay for their online food orders, in less than 10 seconds using the Freecharge digital wallet – across all the platforms on Zomato.
“Through this partnership Freecharge will enable thousands of consumers who place an average of 32,000 orders a day, across over 11,000 restaurants on Zomato, to adopt digital wallet,” Freecharge said in a press release.
“The food delivery business is one of our largest priorities at the moment. Our online ordering business has been seeing tremendous growth month on month, and I think that comes from the single-minded focus we have on making our product as convenient as possible for our users. With online payments gaining a larger share of the overall transactions – we are excited to partner with Freecharge wallet,” Business Head, Online Ordering, Zomato, Mukund Kulashekaran said.
Zomato’s food ordering business has recently crossed the 1-million-order-a-month mark and customers across Delhi-NCR, Mumbai, Bangalore, Pune, Kolkata, Chennai, Hyderabad, Ahmedabad, Chandigarh, and Jaipur can leverage their services.
