Landmark Group has appointed Rajeev Krishnan as managing director of Max Hypermarkets India, the company said in a statement.
Krishnan has over 29 years of global experience in companies such as Target Brands Inc., Wal-Mart Stores Inc. and Mckinsey and Co.
He has taken over the reigns from outgoing managing director, Viney Singh. Singh will continue on the board of the company as a non-executive director.
Krishnan is expected to take over strategy and execution of the hypermarket and supermarket business of Spar. He will report to the Board of Max Hypermarket – franchisee of SPAR India, the company said in a statement.
The Spar brand is operated by Max Hypermarkets in India and currently has 17 hypermarkets across the country.
