Leveraging its twin strengths — agri-commodity sourcing and presence in luxury hotels segment — ITC Ltd. has forayed into the gourmet coffee business, said a senior official.
The coffee will be available in two choices, Nicamalai — a blend of beans from Nicaragua & Anamalai hills — and Panagiri –blended with and Arabicas from Baba Budangiri hills in Coorg.
“We will be offering the guests in our luxury properties the newly launched gourmet coffee Sunbean. Currently different varieties of coffee made with Sunbean coffee powder is offered in nine properties. Three more hotels will start offering the same by the end of 2016,” Vice President, New Category Development, G.K.Suresh said.
The gourmet coffee is currently available in ITC’s luxury properties in Bengaluru, Chennai, Delhi and Mumbai.
In addition to being served Sunbean Gourmet Coffee of their choice at all F&B outlets within the ITC Hotel, consumers can also purchase coffee beans in stylish boxes, priced at Rs 800 for 200g.
