The service network expansion includes introducing 535 service vans equipped with engineers, key components, DG sets and key equipment for providing quick response and on-spot resolution, over 250 service points and over 250 resident engineers, Samsung said in a statement.

“It is imperative for corporations to support this trend by establishing quality service network for addressing consumers’ needs regarding after-sales service of products in rural areas,” the company said.
“We are committed towards providing best-in-class service across the country. With the new service initiative, our customers in rural India will enjoy the same level of speedy and high quality services as urban customers,” President and CEO of Samsung Southwest Asia, HC Hong, said in a release.
“Our aim is to bridge the urban-rural service gap and we devised a solution which is ‘Made in India’ and ‘Made for India’ which will create unprecedented service delight across the entire country,” he added.
The move comes at a time when the Korean major has faced criticism for failure of its flagship Galaxy Note7 handsets and was forced to scrap the product recently.
