To ease the cash crunch post demonetization, GrocerMax.com – a Gurugram-based online grocery delivery company has started an initiative of delivering Rs 2,000 currency notes to its customers at their doorstep, on minimum grocery order of Rs 1,500.
As the Modi Government’s decision to demonetize Rs 500 and Rs 1,000 currency notes on November 8 has left thousands standing in bank or ATM queues to withdraw money, this step by the grocery delivery company might give a respite to the consumers.
Speaking on the initiative, Co-Founder, GrocerMax, K. Radhakrishnan said, “We realise that our customers may be stressed for cash, so we will deliver it in various denominations available with us. This is just a service to help ease the cash shortage situation. We hope this is useful to at least the few we can help.”
To avail the offer, the customer has to buy groceries worth Rs 1,500 and make the payment only through debit card by using the swipe machine provided at the time of delivery. Cash will be delivered to the doorstep without any extra charges. This facility is available only in Gurugram.
Customers will only be able to avail of this offer if they add the item ‘Rs 2,000’ in their carts while placing a grocery order.
The facility is available on first come first serve basis till cash availability and it is subject to all applicable restrictions, imposed by banks, RBI and Government notifications.
