Citykart appoints Ritesh Rathi as its president and chief operating officer

Mumbai: Citykart, one of India’s leading value retailers focusing on family fashion retail in Tier 2, Tier 3 and Tier 4 towns North and East India, has appointed Ritesh Rathi as its president and chief operating officer. Ritesh joined Citykart in February 2023 and will oversee the Strategy, Retail Operations, HR, Marketing, Supply Chain Technology and overall Growth of the business.

Sudhanshu Agarwal, founder and chief executive officer, Citykart said, “Ritesh’s in-depth understanding of retail and wholesale businesses in India and international markets will enable him to steer our business towards sustainable growth in the long run. Ritesh is a Chartered Accountant registered with the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India and has also participated in various programs and courses related to Leadership, Diversity, Project Management and Analytics. He is also a mentor and advisor to multiple startups.

With a presence in 7 states across the country, Citykart has over 91 stores with 20,000+ SKUs. Citykart Retail Ventures Pvt Ltd., the parent holding company of Citykart stores was established in 2015 with the aim of providing affordable fashion for men, women, kids. The company also offers a wide range of home furnishings, general merchandise, toys and other utility items. It has a loyalty base of more than 8 million customers, which is served through 8 lakh sq. ft. of retail space with over 2000+ employees.
