Bengaluru: Indian cosmetic brand Plum Goodness has opened three new exclusive outlets in Bengaluru on the same day, announced the brand in a LinkedIn post. The three new stores are located at Whitefield, RMZ Galleria (Yelahanka), and Bhartiya City (Hebbal).
“What I love about the business of beauty is this infinite canvas, full of possibilities to create the next blockbuster,” said Shankar Prasad, chief executive officer of Plum Goodness.
Plum Goodness is owned by Pureplay Skin Sciences, a beauty and grooming company. Headquartered in Mumbai, the personal care start-up was founded by Shankar Prasad in 2013 as a vegan, cruelty-free, and toxin-free beauty brand.
Currently, the direct-to-consumer brand operates in more than 300 cities across India, through over 1300 assisted outlets, and over 13,000 unassisted outlets. Plum products are also available in e-commerce marketplaces such as Amazon, Flipkart, Nykaa, and Purplle.
In March 2022, the personal care brand has raised $35 million in a Series C round led by A91 Partners. The funding round also saw participation from existing investors Unilever Ventures and Faering Capital.
Apart from Plum Goodness, Pureplay Skin Sciences Pvt. Ltd. also houses Plum Body Lovin’ and PHY. Launched in 2020, Plum BodyLovin’ is a body-care brand and Phy is a dermatologically tested, vegan grooming range for men founded in 2013.
