Omaxe Chowk to open food court to seat 2,000 at Delhi’s Chandni Chowk

New Delhi: Real estate agency Omaxe Chowk to open a food court at Delhi’s famous Chandni Chowk, said the brand in a release. Spread across one lakh sq. ft., the food court will have a seating capacity of 2,000 customers.

The food court will house a mix of national, international and local food service brands including Haldiram’s, Burger King, Pizza Hut, Subway, Biryani Blues, Berco’s, Nanking, Sagar Ratna, Dominos, KFC, WOW Momo’s, WOW China, Hira Sweets, Wah Ji Wah, Amritsari Express, Maska, Chicago Pizza, Bonjuz, Nazeer, Jung Bahadur Kachori, Kuremal ki Kulfi, Gaya Prasad Pranthe Wale, KDH Chaat, and Kunwar ji.

“We have created India’s largest food court in Omaxe Chowk. Various brands are already onboarded with us and the food court is 80% leased out. The response from the brands has been overwhelming and we are in advanced talks with a few of the key F&B brands,” said Jatin Goel, director, Omaxe Ltd.

Omaxe Chowk is being developed on a Public Private Partnership (PPP) model in partnership between Omaxe Ltd. and the Municipal Corporation of Delhi as part of plans to redevelop the retail hub of Chandni Chowk, which witnesses 4-6 lakh daily visitors for shopping, sightseeing, and eating out as per JLL report.

Omaxe Chowk is designed with a dedicated Jewel Court and a Bridal Court on the ground and first floor, and a food court on the second floor of the mall. It will also have five levels of parking that can accommodate more than 2200 cars, with a hi-tech security system and a multilevel parking facility.

The mall is expected to be operational soon.

The proposed direct entry from Chandni Chowk metro station and no vehicle zone between Red Fort and Fatehpuri Masjid is expected to enhance the experience for visitors and shoppers in Chandni Chowk, added the real estate agency.
