New Delhi: Packaged snacks brand Bikano aims to increase its workforce by 10-15% in the next two to three. The brand’s expanded operations and increased footprint in Hyderabad and Northeast region have resulted in an increase of 10% in the company’s overall headcount.

The upcoming hiring process would constitute lateral hiring as well as recruiting freshers to address the seasonal surge in production and demand, Bikano said in a release.

“We are indeed happy to have come out relatively unscathed through the pandemic years. Unlike other mainstream businesses, which were cutting down on their manpower, we were doing the exact opposite. It is this level of increased hiring which has been fueling our aggressive expansion plans,” said Manish Aggarwal, director, Bikano.

“Existing team is retained based on their performance. At the same time, we are hiring a fresh and talented workforce,” Aggarwal added.

Currently, the brand is running on a strategy of adding more stock-keeping units (SKUs) for a larger range of products. Also, the packaged snack brand is working towards improving its market share by ramping up its production at several plants in Delhi/NCR and the South Indian market, Hyderabad being the brand’s priority.

As a follow up to this strategy, Bikano plans to catalyze large-scale hiring across plants and facilities. The hiring plans of the brand include hiring experienced manpower and trainees across functional areas including sales and manufacturing for its Hyderabad plant.

The brand has five production facilities across New Delhi, Greater Noida and Rai and with a rise in demand for the brand, it has also ventured into the RTE segment, further said the brand.

“We give a chance to youngsters through campus visits. We also invest heavily in the training of our employees. We function as a family, keeping in mind the interests of both individual employees and the organization,” said Kush Aggarwal, head of marketing at Bikano.

Bikano was founded in 1950 and currently is present in over 35 countries including the UK, USA, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, Asia, the Middle East, Africa, and the Indian subcontinent.

In India, Bikano is present in retail, modern trade, national and international stores, airports, railways, government stores, military and police canteens and institutions.
