22nd Images Fashion Awards recognises differentiators in fashion retail: Tommy Hilfiger tops the list

Bengaluru: Fashion retail brands, promising players and pioneers were felicitated for their achievements, innovations and differentiation at the 22nd Images Fashion Awards (IFA) held as part of the 22nd edition of India Fashion Forum (IFF) in Bengaluru on 1 March.

Industry players were awarded for making a difference to the fashion retail business at the grand finale of the two-day event.

The award categories this year included Most Admired Tech Implementation of the Year; Most Admired Superlative Customer Experience in Payments; Most Admired Launch of the Year for Debut Brand, Concept Store, Flagship Store and Most Admired Marketing Campaign of the Year among others. Thirty three illustrious heads from the fashion fraternity did a rigorous, unbiased assessment and adjudged the winners of the jury awards.

Shailesh Chaturvedi, 22nd IFF Chairman, Industry Thought Leader, MD & CEO, Arvind Fashions was named the Fashion and Retail Turnaround Professional of the Year for his outstanding work in the business of fashion retail, having ushered global brands to India seamlessly and transforming the business over the past two decades.

Talking about Indian brands having made successful imprints globally, particularly in Europe, Shailesh said, “Today, I can proudly say that many companies in our industry together account for nearly 5000 euros per square metre per year and that too in the centre of Europe. We need to continuously improve our standards as per global demand and that is how we can turn around our businesses.”

And the Awards go to…

The Most Admired Tech Implementation of the Year went to PUMA India. Under the Most Admired Innovation of the Year, Nykd by Nykaa was the winner. Most Admired Launch of the Year: Brand Debut was given to Gloot. Lifestyle was the winner of the Most Admired Launch of the Year: Concept Store.

Under the Most Admired Retail Design concept for Store Design, Skechers was the winner. Vero Moda Mystical Garden won the Most Admired Retail Design Concept of the Year for Visual Merchandising.

Forever New won the award for Most Admired Superlative Customer Experience in Payments. Ethnix by Raymond Karol Bagh was the Winner for the Most Admired Launch of the Year: Flagship Store.

In the IMAGES Most Admired Marketing Campaign of the Year for Launch, Ethnix by Raymond – Decoding the Big Indian Wedding was named the winner.

For Discount Sales, Lulu Fashion Store was the winner.

Max Fashion won for Festival Sales.

The Most Admired Marketing Campaign of the Year: Mass Media went to Lenskart while Nykd by Nykaa was the winner for Marketing Campaign of the Year: Multimedia.

Nykd by Nykaa also won the Most Admired Marketing Campaign of the Year: Social Media. Being Human Clothing and Jade Blue were adjudged winner for Most Admired Marketing Campaign of the Year: Social Cause.

Jack and Jones won for Celebrity Endorsement under the Most Admired Marketing Campaign of the Year.

Jade Blue won the Key business partner award;

Lifestyle Stores was lauded for Large format store partner category;

GRC Garments won under the Distribution partner category;

Myntra for E-commerce partner and Nexus Malls for Mall Partner.

The two-day forum witnessed fashion business leaders, emerging players and other stakeholders discuss the future of fashion retail, the need for brands to make digitization a key part of their sales process as well as the road ahead for virtual reality, AI and Metaverse for next-generation customer shopping experiences.
