Marks & Spencer (M&S) has opened a new store in Ahmedabad, the UK brand’s 97th store in India, at the newly-launched Phoenix Palladium Mall in the city, the brand announced it on social media.
The 750,000 sq. ft. mall is located in Thaltej, a suburb of Ahmedabad, the LinkedIn post said.
In addition to Marks & Spencer, the mall has more than 250 premium brands, more than 35 luxury brands, and more than 50 dining venues. The brands entering the mall include Vero Moda, Jack & Jones, Wow Momo, Only, Taco Bell, Charles & Keith, Aldo, Bath & Body Works, and Ralph Lauren Fragrances, among others.
Marks &Spencer, a British fashion brand, entered the Indian market in 2001 in a joint venture with Reliance Retail. With the opening of this new store, the brand has 97 outlets in more than 30 cities. The brand is growing in India as it considers India as an important market. For Mars& Spencer, India is the fastest-growing international market with the largest footprint outside of the UK.
