At the first International Wellness Summit, held at the outskirts of Delhi at The Claridges – Surajkund, eminent speakers from across the globe spoke about the forecasts of future trends for the wellness industry. The summit aspired to let the wellness business community worldwide know more about the Indian wellness traditions. Another key goal of the event was to help delegates gain a good understanding of the industry, and to explore the possibilities for innovative wellness programs and services. World’s leading wellness and spa experts, such as Mira Kulkarni – Managing Director, Forest Essentials, Dr Issac Mathai – MD, SOUKYA India, Ingo Schweder – CEO, Spatality Thailand, Christine Hays – Spa Director, Oberoi Hotels and Resorts, India, and many more, took part in the event as speakers. Sujit Banerjee, Secretary, Ministry of Tourism, India, who was present at the event as one of the speakers, said that the government along with the stakeholders is preparing guidelines for accreditation of spas and salons that offer wellness packages.
