Indian market research firm RNCOS has filed a research report on the cosmetics sector in India claiming of a double digit rise in the industry from 2010-2013. The report titled “Indian Cosmetic Sector Analysis (2009-2012)” explains that the cosmetic market is amongst the most dynamic sectors and should experiment the fastest growth.
The reason for the high-boost in the industry is attributed to an increased access to branded products through specialist retailers, supermarkets, and increasing population of working ladies in the country. With lipsticks and nail enamels alone commanding 60 percent of make-up sales, the rise is an unsolicited issue.
The men’s grooming market too looks upward with the influence of the media and the western exposure making way for the well groomed males.
