A day with Gltz & Glamour

In Kolkata, Glitz & Glamour Hair and Beauty Academy along with the Unique Shrestha Group held a full day workshop on January 9, 2011. The seminar started with a ramp show where 12 different models wore khadi saris. Afterwards, renowned owner, hairstylist and make-up artist, Kakoli Sengupta demonstrated two haircuts based on the present global trends on models. Her sister Koeli Sengupta, partner and coowner, was also present. The second ramp show showcased creative haircuts, colour and up-style combos. Cosmetologist Arpita Saha demonstrated the process of a facial which proved to be beneficial for salon owners and beauty therapists. This was followed by a make-up demo by Kakoli which highlighted the importance of camouflage make-up. At the end of the show, the 2011 calendar was launched, which was shot in various locations of Rajasthan by leading photographer Rana Bose. The seminar saw a footfall of about 200 salon owners and stylists.
