Snap Fitness, an international chain of fitness clubs launched its first gym in Mumbai on March 29 at Malad, Mumbai. The first Snap gym was opened in Bangalore in November 2008 and the chain now has over 13 locations in Bangalore alone.
Positioned as ‘a neighborhood gym’ Snap Fitness is one of the fastest growing fitness chains worldwide. Started in Minneapolis, US, in 2004 the chain has grown to more than 2,000 locations worldwide. Besides US, Snap Fitness clubs are located in Canada, Australia, India (Bangalore), Mexico and will soon open in New Zealand and the UK.
The gym has thrives on state-of-the-art Matrix equipment sans any of the frills like saunas, steams, etc. Their flexible membership plans start at Rs 1,200 per month. Fitness buffs can even come in for a quick 30 minutes work-out during their lunch hour, on their way to work or on their way home after work.
The 4,000 square foot space in Malad is a 24-hour facility.
The US based company plans to open several locations in Mumbai and all over India. Snap’s global membership allows you to become a member in Malad and use Snap fitness gym facilities anywhere in the world.
