“More events and conventions will help retail trade in India to flourish. We, at Thailand Convention & Exhibition Bureau (TCEB), are inviting Indian events organisers to join hands and organise such conventions in Thailand to boost the trade in both the countries,” Natwut Amornvivat, president, TCEB, told Indiaretailing, on the sidelines of the TCEB road show.
The purpose of the road show is to inform India’s business community about the business opportunities and value of doing business events in Thailand.
Speaking about the retail market of India and Thailand, Amornvivat, said: “The retail trade is growing in India and Thailand, and we should look to establish a bond between the two countries. Getting connected through retail events can be useful.”
Amornvivat informed that TCEB is looking to tie up with prospective event organisers in the country.
“Thailand is a hub of the business community and is also emerging as a business destination in the world. Every country should try to host a business event, at least once, in Thailand,” said Amornvivat.
TCEB also announced the launch of a new promotional package titled ‘Thanks a Million’ to serve the international convention market. The package offers reimbursement of local expenses, till 2009, to the organisers of convention of three or more days in Thailand.
