In a move to double its market share in the country, Samsung India has planned to open around 300 retail outlets in India by the end of this year.
Speaking to media at the sidelines of the Technopak marketing summit, Sunil Dutt, head, mobile business, Samsung India Electronics, said: “At present, we have over 100 exclusive franchise outlets selling Samsung mobile phones, and intend to increase it four-fold in 2008.”
The company currently has a market share of 7-8 per cent and wants to double this by the end of this year.
