Lalit Kumar, CEO and director of Ebony Retail is joining Vishal Retail Ltd as president, retail. Kumar is expected to assume office at Vishal Retail by May 12.
Kumar has been instrumental in getting Gautier, French furniture major, to India through a tie-up with Ebony to launch Ebony Gautier stores.
Kumar, a chartered accountant and company secretary by profession, has considerable experience of international business as he headed operations of Rs 3,000 crore Jumbo Electronics in Dubai. Kumar has over 21 years of experience in various verticals of business and has held top management positions.
He is closely related to various industry organisations and schools, and is a regular figure at various forums conducted by CII, FICCI, NIFT, Images Group and ICSC.
