The Mathura-based real estate developer Shri Group has planned to develop around hundred Highway Plazas and is looking for space near highways across the country.
Highway Plaza is a shopping centre concept from the company, wherein malls of considerable size are being opened adjacent to the national and state highways for the convenience of the highway shoppers and those in the vicinity.
Confirming the news, an official close to the development told Indiaretailing, “We have planned to develop around hundred Highway Plazas across the country and for that we are looking for space near highways.”
In 2005, Shri Group opened the first Highway Plaza on Delhi-Agra highway near Mathura. This is the only mall that is operational as of now.
Spread over an area of 6,384 square feet, the mall houses renowned retail brands including Pizza Hut, Cafe Coffee Day, Provogue and Archies. Considering that the travellers primarily halt at eating joints, Pizza Hut and Cafe coffee have been chosen as the major anchors at the mall.
Besides, this commercial project, Shri Group also operates various housing and residential projects that include Shri Jamuna Dham, Shri Radha Puram and Shri Radha Orchids.
