With an investment of around Rs 400 crore in the next three years, McDonald’s India has planned to open around 40 to 60 outlets every year.
Speaking to media at the launch of another McDonald’s outlet in Kolkata, Vikram Bakshi, managing director, McDonald’s India, said: “India has a huge market potential for McDonald’s and we want to tap around 30 to 35 per cent of the market by expanding stores.”
Presently, McDonald’s has around 160 restaurants in India and plans focus more on the eastern region. “Out of Rs 400 crore earmarked for national expansion, Rs 100 crore will be spent for the eastern region,” informed Bakshi.
