After its successful partnership with Tata Group’s Croma chain of stores in Mumbai, Dell India on Thursday said it is exploring tie-ups with other retail outlets across the country to scale up its laptop and desktop computer business.
“We are growing along with India’s retail boom. At present, nearly half of our consumer business is direct. But, as the retail business has ramped up to our expectations, retail will be the core part of our overall strategy to reach out to the consumers,” said Sameer Garde, country general manager, Dell India. On the global front, Dell has begun selling its products through Wal-Mart stores.
Sameer further informed that Dell India will focus on the small and medium enterprise (SME) and consumer sectors by launching notebooks that come with pre-loaded choice of operating software, rich connectivity options and game changing products.
