Touristor Bharat Shoes Group has opened a new store at Mani Square, Kolkata. Set up on an investment of Rs 60 lakh, the 2,700 square feet outlet is an exclusive Nike showroom.
Touristor now operates 16 stores in eastern India, and two outlets are located at Raipur (Chhattisgarh) and Varanasi (Uttar Pradesh).
The group is targeting a turnover of Rs 22 crore for the current fiscal, as against their previous fiscal turnover of Rs 16 crore. By the end of this year, the company plans to open five exclusive Touristor Shoe outlets on an approximate investment of Rs 2 crore, at Kharagpur, City Centre 2, Asansol and two other undisclosed locations.
Speaking to Indiaretailing, Touristor Shoes MD Ved Vyash Chhabra said, “We are targeting the aspiring upper middle-class and upper-income consumers by making available the best of modern styles and technology in sports lifestyle and sports footwear. And with this exclusive tie-up with Nike for the east, we aim to launch three more Nike outlets at Gurusaday Road (Kolkata), Asansol and Dhanbad.”
The company also has exclusive tie-ups with brands such as Crocs, Reebok, Hi Tech, Geox and Lotto. Touristor has 10 manufacturing units that are located in the northern belt of Delhi and Agra.
The company will soon be entering the southern region as part of their pan-India expansion plan.
