Frank Ross targets 100 stores

Frank Ross, the pharmacy format operated by Emami Group, is rolling out an aggressive expansion schedule and is looking to have more than 100 outlets in the country over the next three years on a total investment of Rs 95 to 98 crore.

“Frank Ross will be expanded from the current 30 outlets to 50 by the end of the year, and about 100 in the next three years,” said Harsh Agarwal, director, Emami.

The chain will have both standalone outlets as well as pharmacies within hospitals covering some 300 sq ft to 650 square feet.

The company intends to open some 8-10 pharmacies within hospital premises and is also looking to set up its pharmacy outlets within large malls. In terms of location, Emami plans to open pharmacy outlets in select cities outside Kolkata, in towns such as Darjeeling, Siliguri, Jamshedpur and Ahmedabad.

Frank Ross is expected to clock revenues of close to Rs 100 crore by March 2010, compared to its last fiscal turnover of about Rs 29.75 crore.
