In an attempt to boost its international presence, Shahnaz Husain has tied up with Tesco, UK leading retailer. As a part of the alliance, Tesco will sell Shahnaz Herbal products across all its stores, said a company spokesperson.
Meanwhile, the company is also entering Saudi Arabia, Israel, Myanmar and Bangladesh. “With the total-wellness concept, Shahnaz Husain offers the ideal solutions through Ayurvedic beauty and health care,” added the spokesperson.
“It is not easy to surpass the stringent rules of FDA in Saudi Arabia and Shahnaz Husain Group is the only company to pass the tests and norms of this association. Saudi Arabia has the Middle East’s largest economy and, as a result, the biggest market for cosmetics, toiletries and fragrance, estimated at US$1.2bn last year, according to the Saudi-American Business Council. With the birth rate at 3% growth a year, one of the highest in the world, and the population doubling every 25 years, companies expect significant growth in the near future as this young population ages,” said the spokesperson.
“Myanmar, Bangladesh also promises a good market for fairness products. The Group is planning to enter this market by January with a mega launch,” commented the spokesperson.
About the plans to foray in Israel, the spokesperson said, “The plan for Israel is to start with the distribution of Shahnaz Diamond collection, through a gradual penetration to different boutique retail shops that specialise in lifestyle, pharmacies, duty-free shops and also in different spas.”
