LG Electronics India, a wholly owned subsidiary of South Korea-based LG Electronics, has launched touch screen phone LG KP500 in the Indian market. Priced at Rs 13,500, the range is nicknamed as Cookie and is available in Vandyke brown colour, according to a company press release.
Anil Arora, business group head — mobile, PCs and DAV, LG Electronics India, said, “The LG Cookie will expand touch screen technology to many people around India. We are certain that the range will appeal to all and it will be the handset that everyone will be reaching out for.”
“With this launch, the company expects to capture around 7 per cent market share of this particular segment by the first quarter of 2009,” added Arora.
LG KP500 feature allows the user to attach the photograph of the contact for the speed dial, added the release.
