In sync with the company’s aggressive expansion plan, Delhi-based discount retailer Vishal Retail has opened two more stores under the brand name Vishal Megamart and Vishal Fashionmart in Uttar Pradesh and Punjab respectively. The information came through Vishal Retail’s filing to Bombay Stock Exchange.
Spread across 16,000 square feet of retail space, the new Vishal Megamart store has opened on Feroze Gandhi Road, Raibareilly, Uttar Pradesh. The second store, is a franchisee store in Ludhiana, branded as Vishal Fashionmart store, and is spread across 1,200 square feet area.
In the last week of December 2008, the company had opened one Vishal Fashionmart store in Punjab. With this launch, the company has started a promising journey for 2009.
