LG Electronics India Pvt Ltd, a wholly owned subsidiary of South Korea-based LG Electronics, has launched ‘Twenty20 Win Win’ offer in its stores across India under which 100 lucky customers will win a free trip to the UK to watch the forthcoming ICC World Twenty20 tournament, according to a company press release.
The tournament is scheduled to be held in England in June 2009.
Moon B Shin, MD, LG Electronics India, said, “Recognising the existing and growing passion for cricket in India, especially after the advent of Twenty20 format, we aim to make it an integral part of our marketing efforts. By means of our, product innovations, strong brand power and market leadership, we at LG aim to achieve our ultimate goal of becoming a global player by 2010.”
As part of the plan, shoppers will be given a scratch card on the purchase of LG products including CTVs, DVDs, audio systems, refrigerators, microwaves, washing machines and vacuum cleaners. The 45-day offer will last till February 28, 2009. The company will also offer gifts like LG laptops, mobile phones, DVD players and microwaves to some others who cannot make 100 lucky customers’ list, added the release.
