Soon after Mocha: Coffees and Conversations launched its three floors outlet measuring 4,000 square feet carpet area at Gurgaon; Riyaz Amlani, MD, Impressario Entertainment, informed that the next Mocha outlet will be launched on the 1st of May at Nehru Place in New Delhi. This upcoming outlet, Amlani told, would measure around 1,000 square feet.
Further informing on Mocha’s plans of expansion, Amlani stated, “In addition to the existing 15 operational units, we are confirmed to launch five new units this year and have internally targeted to open another five more.”
Commenting on the preference of location, Amlani remarked, “Mocha is a destination based product and we really are not in the game to have the maximum units in this space. Hence, a prime standalone location in a high street is preferred as compared to being confined to malls.”
Further, Amlani also told that Mocha is looking towards metros, tier II and some tier III cities for opening its new outlets. “Metros are an obvious choice for opening our new outlets; however, our focus is on tier II cities and some exciting tier III cities as well.”
“Besides Metros, we are currently present in tier I cities,” said Amlani.
