Hard Rock Cafe opens in New Delhi

After rocking Mumbai, Pune and Bengaluru, Hard Rock International has launched its leading café bar — Hard Rock Cafe in New Delhi. The new 7,000-square foot cafe and retail outlet, India’s fourth Hard Rock Café, operated by franchisee HR Cafe India offers guests American fare in a rock ‘n’ roll atmosphere at DLF Place in Saket. Further, the company also plans to open the café in Hyderabad in summer 2009.

Commenting on the development, Hamish Dodds, president and CEO of Hard Rock International said, “New Delhi is an exciting and strategic city for us. We are proud to add New Delhi to our repertoire of capital and gateway cities around the world.”

After receiving such a tremendous response from the other three locations, we are thrilled to launch Hard Rock Cafe New Delhi in this vibrant city. We want to bring the international brand experience to our customers and create the ultimate destination for rock lovers of all ages in New Delhi,” added Jay Singh, director, HR Cafe India Pvt Ltd.

Hard Rock Cafe New Delhi has 200 seats divided into three distinct sections, a stage for live performances, as well as Hard Rock’s signature retail Rock Shop. The menu consists of classic American fare, from burgers, sandwiches and salads, starters such as spring rolls and chicken wings. Local flavour including a ‘Merri Dilli’ section consists of local favourites like chicken kebabs and more.

The Rock Shop offers a limited line of authentic Hard Rock Cafe items, including Hard Rock’s famous Classic and City T-shirts, as well as highly coveted accessories and pins.
